Privacy and terms of use

Off We Go — family days out in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Last updated 26 August 2026.

The short version. We don't have accounts, we don't ask who you are, and nothing about your family leaves your phone. Prices and opening times come from each attraction's own website — we check them and date them, but we can't promise they're still right, so ring ahead if it matters.

Your information

What stays on your device

Your family details — the ages of your children, any access needs, your saved places, the places you've visited and the ones you've hidden — are stored on the device you're using and nowhere else. We have no server holding them and no account for you to create. If you clear your browser data or delete the app from your home screen, they're gone, and we have no copy.

What leaves your device, and why

Analytics and advertising

We don't run advertising, and we don't use tracking or profiling tools that follow you around the internet. If we ever add basic analytics to understand which parts of the app people use, we'll say so here first and it will not involve selling anything about you to anyone.

Children

The app is written for parents and carers rather than children, and it asks for children's ages only so it can work out the right ticket price. That information is never sent to us and stays on the device.

Your rights

Because we don't collect or hold personal information about you, there is generally nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. If you think we hold something about you and you'd like it removed, get in touch and we'll deal with it. Under UK data protection law you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Using the app

Where our information comes from

Prices, opening times, accessibility details and facilities are taken from each attraction's own website and booking pages, and every record carries the date we last checked it. Some come from public sources like council directories or the National Trust. We record what those sources say, in our own words, and we don't invent anything: where we haven't been able to find something, the app says so rather than guessing.

What we can't promise

Attractions change their prices, alter their opening days, close for private events, run seasonal hours and update their facilities — often without telling anyone, and always without telling us. Travel costs, food and treats are estimates based on typical figures, not quotes.

So please treat everything here as a good starting point rather than a guarantee, and check with the attraction before you travel. That matters most when a wasted journey would be a real problem, or when someone in your family depends on a particular facility being available.

Accessibility information especially. We record what a venue publishes about step-free routes, accessible toilets, Changing Places facilities, hearing support and quiet spaces. Where a venue hasn't published something, we show that it hasn't been checked — we never present missing information as a yes. Even so, please confirm directly with the venue before travelling if access is essential for your family.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we can't accept responsibility for losses arising from information in this app being out of date, incomplete or incorrect — including admission prices, parking charges, opening times, accessibility or facilities — or from an attraction being closed, full or different from what its own website describes. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.

Telling us something's wrong

Every attraction page has a "tell us" button. If you've just been somewhere and found something different, that's the fastest way it gets fixed for the next family, and we read every message.

How we make money

No attraction can pay to appear here, to rank higher, or to carry a Family Fun Bucks tested badge. There is no price list, because there's nothing to sell.

Some booking links may earn us a small commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. Where that applies we'll say so on the button itself. It does not change what we recommend or the order things appear in — the code that ranks places doesn't know which links earn anything.

Family Fun Bucks tested

Places carrying the tested badge have been visited and paid for by Family Fun Bucks. The review is an honest opinion of that visit on that day, which is not the same as a guarantee of your visit. Nobody is given notice that we're coming and nobody hosts us.

Other people's material

Attraction names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners and appear here to identify the places we list. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database Licence. Free activity listings come from Buckinghamshire Council under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. If you're a venue and you'd like something we've published about you corrected or removed, please just ask.

Changes

If we change how any of this works we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change matters, we'll say so in the app.

Getting in touch

Email hello@offwegoapp.co.uk. We'd genuinely rather hear from you than have you quietly find something wrong.
